HUAWEI ASCEND P1 S

Sampai saat ini, predikat ponsel Android tertipis di dunia masih dipegang oleh Motorola Droid RAZR dengan ketebalan 7,1 mm saja. Namun, Huawei Ascend P1 S siap merebut titel ini di CES 2012.

Seperti dikutip dari The Unwired, Huawei telah menyiapkan Ascend P1 S sebagai ponsel cerdas tertipis di dunia bermodalkan desain yang sangat ramping. Ketebalannya hanya 6,68 mm atau lebih tipis sekitar 0,42 mm dibanding Motorola RAZR.

Dimensinya yang amat tipis tidak lantas membuat pabrikan asal Cina tersebut mengorbankan performa ponsel besutannya. Dalam spesifikasinya, Ascend P1 S memuat layar Corning Gorilla Glass 4,3 inci berkualitas Super AMOLED, prosesor TI OMAP 4460 Cortex-A9 dual-core 1,5GHz, GPU SGX 540, dan memori RAM 1GB/ROM 4GB.

Untuk sistem operasi, Ascend P1 S telah diperkuat Android versi terbaru, 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).

Kemampuan multimedia Ascend P1 S juga tidak bisa dipandang sebelah mata. Ponsel ini memiliki kamera belakang 8MP dan kamera depan 1,3MP (dilengkapi LED flash dan efek HDR) serta mampu merekam video Full-HD 1080p (kamera belakang) dan HD 720p (kamera depan).

Selain Ascend P1 S, Huawei siap untuk merilis pula versi Ascend P1 (tanpa S) dengan spesifikasi serupa, tapi memiliki ketebalan 7,69 mm. Sepertinya, tipe P1 ini ditujukan bagi konsumen yang kurang nyaman menggenggam ponsel tipis. Harganya pun diprediksi akan di bawah P1 S.

Sejauh ini, Huawei belum mengumumkan harga resmi untuk Ascend P1 S dan P1. Namun, kedua ponsel yang akan dipamerkan di CES 2012 ini diperkirakan bakal hadir pada kuartal kedua 2012 dengan pilihan warna hitam, putih, dan pink.
